Rienzi Heritage

Like many other immigrants, the Rienzi family left the town of Montemilone, in the heart of Basilicata in 1960 with their few possessions and came to the United States hoping for a better way of life. Giuseppe Rienzi, his wife Angela and their seven children looked forward to a new start in the New World. Among the children, was the first born Michele, who, as the car drove away, looked back on the land and promised himself that, one day, he would come back and reclaim it.

Today, after forty years of experience as an importer of Italian quality products, Rienzi & Sons is positioned among the best Italian companies operating on the Eastern Coast of the United States with a wide range of food products.

Continuing with this vision, a new venture has now been formed called Rienzi Wine Import, LLC. This new company features selected special Italian regional wines (Basilicata, Campania, Sicilia, Toscana, Puglia) thus giving the American consumer, once again, a new line of high quality products. The personalized approach to picking the best grapes, owning the vineyards and the careful packaging is testimonial to Rienzi’s focus on keeping the family’s Italian legacy alive while with his personal experience, Mike Rienzi reaffirms the true value of Italian wines and their local origin.
