
Aglianico del Vulture (Giuliana) – Red Wine
Introduced in Magna Grecia and considered to be one of the best Italian wines, Aglianico is the only wine from Basilicata to claim the D.O.C status. The color is an intense ruby red. The Bouquet is winey with fragrances of wild cherries and dark berries. The taste is pleasant and mildly dry.

Volcanic in nature.
Date of Harvest:
From October 18th to the 30th.
Fermentation:
The stalks are removed from the hand picked grapes before wine-pressing. The liquid is transferred into small barrels with temperature control from 20 to 27 degrees C. Fermentation begins with the addition of indigenous yeasts lasting 12 days. The alcohol and malolactic fermentation is completed in 50 Hl oak barrels for 12 months and 4 months in barriques.
Fining:
In bottle for 6 months.
Food Pairing:
Perfect with pasta dishes and white meats.
Alcohol Content:
13% by Vol.
Serving Temperature:
Serve at room temperature. Uncork 20 minutes before serving. |
