
Barrique Aglianico Terre del Volturno (Claudia) – Red Wine
The roots of this red wine are historic planted in the volcanic area near Caserta, the spicy and intense bouquet is characterized by the lands to bring out its full complexity and power. The color is an intense ruby red with warm violet hues, with a rich bouquet that brings an array of delicate nuances of wild red berries with a spicy scent. The taste is dry, ample and elegant with a complex, fruity and sweet spicy taste.

Loose, volcanic soil.
Date of Harvest:
Second week of October
Fermentation:
The stalks are removed from the hand picked grapes, before they are pressed and then fermentation begins. The skins stay in the must for 20-25 days. The wine drawn from the vat is held in temperature-controlled environment to enhance the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation which occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
Fining:
15 months in new French oak barrels and 6 months in bottles.
Food Pairing:
A great accompaniment to game, red meats, rich pasta dishes and aged cheeses.
Alcohol Content:
13.5% by Vol.
Serving Temperature:
Serve at room temperature. Uncork 20 minutes before serving. |
